Now, as you try to maintain your dresses in its best form for years to come, the bag you carry needs your attention equally. Depending on material of the bag, the process of caring and maintaining varies. For the love of Tapestry and maintaining it, here are few tips that we advise works best and help you keep your bag remain clean.
Apply a fabric protector to the tapestry but bear in mind they wear off over time so you would need to re-apply constantly. Keep your bag in dust cover when not in use. While carrying it, try not to place your bag on floors, dirty surfaces or near food.
In case you do need to clean your bag, follow these Do’s & Don’ts and it will look great for many years:
Do’s :
- Vigorously mix a teaspoon of mild laundry powder or detergent with about a litre of water to build up some foam.
- Apply some of the foam to a clean soft sponge ensuring it is evenly covered.
- Dab the foam from the sponge evenly onto the tapestry.
- After the foam bubbles have subsided and had a chance to work their way into the dirt, use a clean, white, lint-free cotton cloth which is slightly damp with plain water to lift the foam residue off.
- Repeat this process if necessary, but try to use as little soap as possible as excess soap may mark dark colours. 6. Leave the tapestry to dry naturally
Don’ts :
NEVER apply soap direct to the tapestry surface.
NEVER use leather cleaning sprays.
NEVER machine washes your bag.
